God is good!  After walking for 7 hours, we entered Navarette, leaving the Province of Navarra and entering the region of La Rioja, renowned for its superlative wines.  We found a 3-star hotel that fit our budget, with a lovely receptionist who speaks English with the same accent as Lydia, my Zumba teacher!

Don and I showered, did hand laundry, and hung it to dry on our tiny balcony overlooking one of the bustling Plazas.  We even had a glass of the Don Jacabo wine at the café opposite our hotel, because we had passed that winery on our way into town.  It was good.
We went to a tiny clothing store near our hotel, where I bought a sleeveless black top, because all my tops have sleeves and I need something cooler (and a bit dressier) for the evenings.  The shop lady was very friendly.

We visited the large Church of the Assumption near our hotel and returned there for Mass.  When we arrived for Mass, they were just finishing the Benediction.  The Latin was nice.  After Mass, we ate a Pilgrim’s menu (the fish I had was Rodabaio) and returned to the hotel.  Ad majorem Dei Gloriam!
