God is truly good! Thanks to the
Virgen del Camino! This morning, we had
breakfast and left León with no good prospects of places to head to
tonight. Don said the preferred way
showed only 2 albergues at the end, so I wasn’t very optimistic for the
day! But, on the way, there was a choice
of routes to walk, and we prayed to the Virgen de Camino (at a small village we
passed) for good accommodations and healing for our pains! God and the Virgen are NOT to be
outdone! We took the alternate path,
ending in Villadangos Del Páramo, and
found a 2-star Hotel, Hotel Avenida III, which
was not even listed in Don’s book, where we got a superb room, free computer,
wonderful lunch—and breakfast included!
God is good! Dios gracias!
We did hand
laundry, hung clothes in our large window, e-mailed the girls, and had lunch of
Paella with little polipos, filet of
whole sole (Lenguado), watermelon,
wine, espresso, bread, Limoncello (which I mistook for finger-washing water),
water, etc.,etc.! Alleluia!
