Today, we had breakfast in the
bar downstairs, emailed the girls at the large public library, had little
“cannoli” and a bread treat at a pastelería,
did laundry at the large, municipal albergue, and had a great lunch at the Rincon del Sid, which is related to our
hostal. The stuffed zucchini were served
vertically standing on our plates! [Calabacines=zucchini.]
We then took a little nap and went to the
Museum of Evolution (which is FREE after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, P.T.L.!) We went to Mass afterwards at St. Nicholas’
Church and walked up many steps to get to the city overlook with a great view
of Burgos and the Cathedral. A man from
Prague took our photo there.
We had a supper of tapas and Sangria at our
bar downstairs. [N.B. At the albergue,
while we were waiting for our clothes to finish washing, 3 Spaniards came over
to me to ask me to translate the washing machine instructions for them! God is good!
This is the third time I’ve been asked to translate either from or into Spanish! Olé!]
