Happy Feast of San Juan el Bautista!  We left Villadangos Del Páramo after a nice breakfast, and 10 hours later (with 2 considerable breaks) are sitting overlooking the Plaza Mayor in Astorga in our Hotel Astur Plaza balcony!  God is good!
Our first “break” was the wonderful Mass and procession in the town of Hospital de Órbigo!
Everyone at Mass (in the Church of San Juan) was told to join the procession in Thanksgiving to God for all we have—our health, our senses, our ability to walk, etc.  And everyone joined in!  There were 7 priests and one server, and they carried the Monstrance under a little, collapsible baldacchino!   A large band followed, and ladies carrying banners—and, of course, all of us!
An hour after we left there, we stopped around 2) at an albergue where 2 Italian young men made us a delicious plate of pasta with cheese, wine and bread (and optional dried hot peppers).

After 7:00 p.m., we arrived in Astorga…Alleluia, Praise the Lord!  We had a Menu del Peregrino and retired, P.T.L.!
