Today, we left Sárria around 8:00 a.m. after a nice breakfast, and
arrived at Portomarín 7 ½ hours
later, taking two small food and potty breaks along the way. The receptionist at Sarria had recommended
Hotel Villa Jardin, since it includes breakfast as well, so we went there,
Praise God! They offered us a room with
a double bed and 2 twin beds, but we had to promise to use only the double bed!
We
washed clothes, dried them in the dryer, and hung a few out to dry some
more! We then walked around the town a
bit, visited the church of San Juan (where the Mass is at 8:00 p.m.), and had a
Menu de Día for 10 Ԑ each: Don had empanada
and I had pureed vegetable soup; we both had Merluza (cod/hake) in “Salsa verde” with salad, red wine, bread,
water and Tarta de Santiago (tarta de
almendras) for dessert. God is
good!!! We went to Mass after dinner,
PTL!
