Today our hostal owner drove us back to Hornillos from Isar to proceed on the Camino, P.T. L.!  He first made us a breakfast of scrambled eggs, ham, spread cheese, coffee, bread, juice and cake!  God is good!
We stopped after 2 ½ hours for water and a tomato/oil tostada.  We often met up with our Italian/Swiss friends along the way.  On the way to our goal today, Castrojeriz, we passed through some lovely arches of what’s left of a San Antón monastery (Don thinks it’s St. Anthony of the Desert.)    As we entered Castrojeriz, we spotted an Hostal-Bar El Manzano and took a double room there (con baño), Praise God!  We washed clothes, hung them on the drying lines in the courtyard (with the owner’s clothespins) and then visited the town.
We attended Mass at 7:30 p.m. (delayed from 7:00 p.m.) at the San Juan church, and then the priest gave us our pilgrim’s seal and opened the Cloister for us.

We ate a great fish/pasta/salad/vegetable/meatball/cheese/flan/wine/bread/water supper at La Taberna, where we’d met the owner’s son earlier today!    After dinner, we visited with the son’s blind English teacher and her friend!  God is good…all the time!
