This morning, after an early breakfast, we left Arzúa and walked a little over 8 hours to arrive at Lavacolla, about 10 km (6 miles!) from Santiago!  God is good!  Alleluia!!! [It is called Lavacolla because in ancient times, the pilgrims used to wash there to purify themselves before Santiago.]  We’re at the Ruta Jacobea Hotel—great and clean and elegant, after hard and dusty and grimy, PTL!  We had their Menú de Casa, Gazpacho soup, veal chunks and rice, bread, wine and “leche frito,” very good custard!  WE used the free computer, showered (not much hot water), and got some fruit and yogurt for a lite supper, Praise God!

The Wonders of Spanish Cuisine!  Olé!
