Happy Feast of Peter and Paul!
poppin’ with all sorts of
people, from truck drivers to tourists to townspeople! We walked 5 hours—a good part uphill in the
mountains—to reach the town popular with tourists, O’Cebreiro! We found a room
at Casa Carolo, showered and are
going to find a pay washing machine, God willing!
Today we had
breakfast in the café downstairs…it was really
We hung our clothes behind the Casa Rural, visited the
church, and had an early supper before Mass (Sta. Maria a la Real, a Franciscan church, P.T.L.!)
For supper, we had Caldo gallego (a vegetable soup),
and I had stewed beef and salad and Don had baked chicken and salad; we both
had vino tinto, pan, agua and Tarta Gallega di Santiago, an almond tart. Mass is at 7:00 p.m., we are told, Praise
God!
